Celebrating after every routine play needs to stop. I don't want to see it next season.

Our guys waste so much time and energy celebrating after a tackle that they aren't ready for the next play and don't have the energy left to make another for the rest of the series. They end up giving up a blown play shortly after every time.

This is a direct reflection of the culture. We won't make it far beyond 8-4 until this issue is addressed.

I completely agree. The celebrations after every play have to stop.

I agree. Good luck with that happening. Until we play for we and not for me. I see it all the way down into jr. high flag football and basketball across all teams and players that suck.

Great. On one play you did your job. Now do it 3 more times and you can get and attta boy on the sideline.

Our celebrations are over the top. Dez ricks started it in the first quarter and he now looks like a dumbass with how things turned out. It's ok to celebrate, but jumping up and doing some weird bird wings nonstop to the usc sideline was weird and over the top. And you became the player they picked on.

Mayes threw up his fist signaling 4th down after he allowed the receiver to catch the ball 5 yards past the chains making it 1st and goal on the 2.

Edit: just watched the replay and he got scored on 7 yards past the 1st down marker. So embarrassing.

Losers that taunt the other team and then get rolled. Starts at the top, shouldn't be tolerated. Embarrassing to our program and our school.

Call the NFL minor league mercenaries the College Station Prairie Dogs or some ****, bring back Aggies, student athletes for an unpaid experience, free ride for 4 years. No 4.5 hr games, allstate commercials or Disney meddling. Won't ever happen because the money is too sweet and too many are obsessed with the production, but one can wish. It'll be coming to a high school near you next.

#10 made one single play all game. Celebrated like he won the superbowl. Was absolutely abused from that point forward.

And it's been that way all year. Not sure why a coach building a winning culture has an absolutely embarrassingly immature team on the field. The curtains don't match the drapes between our words and our actions. It needs to change next year, because dominant programs don't look and act like we did.

Only culture Elko has built is undisciplined inconsistency


He deserves an F on the season

Completely agree. I absolutely hate it. Guys are PAID to make plays. I yank guys after every pathetic celebration for making routine plays.

Maybe it's just me but it seems like it's just our players that celebrate for two minutes after every decent play. I don't typically see the other team's players wasting their energy with all of the theatrics.

Pulling them for a series may do the trick, but something needs to be done. Currently I don't think the ridiculous celebrations have even been a discussion.

AD needs to have a talk with Elko. If it happens next year then it needs to be asked during post game. Embarrassing to individually celebrate for 5-10 seconds in the middle of a series like you just won the game.

It's on the head coach, the DC and the position coach! Condoning is encouraging. Lou Holtz, then head coach at Notre Dame, said of how to act after a TD, "Act like you've been there before." same applies moreso to making a play. Kids they are not, Coach Elko. I remember one Aggie d coach who refused to refer to players as "kids."

J.Walker #9 won the Fighting Heart Award this year. Very surprised and disappointed to see him taunt his defender after catching a pass. The ref was standing there and did not call taunting for some reason. He should have for sure and it would have negated a first down gain. I agree that Elko needs to put a stop to these type demonstrations.

The players are a reflection of our fanbase. Always celebrating and gloating after moral victories or short term victories. Never staying the course, keeping their heads down, and keeping their mouths shut until they get the meaningful win.
