It's coaching. It's always been coaching.

And the root cause of bad coaching hires is bad decision makers. We have some real geniuses that think we can just moneywhip our program into shape.

Agreed. Money isn't the answer to all problems. It can be a positive force, but has to be used with discipline.

Our program, combined with the success of lots of other programs that don't spend like drunken-sailors, has proven this to be true.

Money is the answer to our problems but money well spent on the right people is needed.

I still think we should have tried much harder to get Urban Meyer to come back into coaching even if we only were to have him for a few years at longest. He said he's not coming back but everybody has a price.

Attempting to block punts when you're winning the game…. Why?
Throwing up a 20 yard pass on a 3rd and short, Why??
Running play when the defense loads the box and it's very obvious and a QB unable to call an audible , Why?
When WR's not sure where to line up on a 3rd down in the red zone, and you don't call a timeout, Whyyyyyyy????
Cornerbacks playing to the wide receivers only and not also to the ball, why?

Please someone with a decent football IQ, explain why these decisions or techniques are being used?

You nailed a lot of the boneheaded in game decisions. I'll add, just kick the damn ball into the end zone. We're constantly giving momentum back with big returns after TDs

A&M has iterated through too many coaches for us to blame them for our mediocrity. It's a function of what's at the very top. Just like the Jerry Jones Cowboys.

Case in point: A&M voting FOR the sips to join the SEC.

Those at the top don't know how to put together a dynastic program and just throw money at the problem. Which is extra hilarious considering that the historical pinnacle of our football program was The Junction Boys…

Oh stfu. Would've been such a beta move to be the one and only vote against Sips. Everyone would be rubbing that in our faces every day still.

They were going to or are doing it already. Still should have said no regardless as ridicule is there either way and some are too ignorant to understand that.

Better to stand on ur morales and take a stand than vote with the crowd. Just like Kirby flipping off Sankey at championship game as UGA got screwed on their sched while Sankey butt buddied w CDC/sips to not only let them in and then gave them an easy sched (vs just facing SEC west sched which should have been it regardless and more games on the road).

Pretty sure the beta move was voting for the sips

Always gonna be a beta move. As long as the sips come in anything we do is going to look beta.

It has nothing to do with coaching. I mean, a lot of them have sucked, but it wouldn't have mattered even if they didn't.

Literally no one can win here.

No one.

Our 469 head coaching changes over the last 20 years have proven that. We suck because our culture and attitude suck. Until that changes and we modernize and start holding the program accountable, this is as good as it will ever be.

The alpha play was to over shadow the sips so they weren't a monetary benefit to the conference and never got invited. All moves short of that were beta moves. So as long as we were relegated to beta-land: abstain from the vote so it rides as 13-0 as historical reminder.

Something really weird happens to players when they get to A&M. We do not seem to develop players like other teams. It can't be 4 straight coaches. We get players that other top teams want. But when they come here, they just do not develop. Even if they are NFL material and do well in the NFL, they just are OK here.

It is just so weird to me. We just have some developmental problem. Hard to blame every coaching staff for the past half century. Can't blame players who are top 10 recruiting classes. Can't blame the fans.

Not sure its the water, the environment or whatever but we just do not have consistent development.

It is hilarious that our fans think that we could have blocked their move. Some serious deranged fans to think we have so much power. If we tried to go full nuclear with lawsuits, the SEC may have eventually voted us out and replaced us with texas.
