And he's that one that goes conservative when he gets leads. Did it at Duke as well. Bowl games have to many players out to think defense is going to win the game. They wear down or he does prevent the win D. It's not coincidence our defense looked different in the 4th quarter.

It boiled down to not getting any pass rush with a 3 man DL rushing 3 and d backs not being good enough to cover very long. The scheme sucked.

I went back and watched the final USC drive. Elko said we rushed four every play in the post game. We actually did rush four every play, but one. We just sucked at getting to the QB.

Against a mostly 3rd string USC O-line

The problem on defense is that our defense practices against our offense all week. The problem with our offense is that it practices against our defense all week. The problem with our coaching is that it sucks at coaching our offense and defense all week. Oh well. Three more years of this and tu being at the top of the SEC and we can do it all over again.

Maybe we can hire Jerrod Johnson and the red head from UIW because they "get" Texas A&M.

Our Safeties might have been the most disappointing position group on the team.

Yup, was my one hesitation about hiring him. Loves to take foot off the pedal and blow winnable games late. He should have 4-6 more wins on his head coaching resume.

No way. This defense is on Elko. He shouldn't be allowed to scapegoat someone after 1 season. He is a former defensive coordinator.

At least fire (or demote) Bateman, bring in Fuller or someone, and see if a little new blood / coaching can help. What do you really have to lose?

Our DL under performed all year. 3 NFL picks and what did any of them do this year? Who was over the DL this year? Seems like with that much talent, they should have been able to dominate lines which we did not.

You guys need to go and watch the play call on 3rd and 13. It's honestly hilarious. Bateman should be fired for that alone.
