That d was awful all season! Who gives a **** all season long they were bad. Last drive every pass rec was allegedly covered by 10.

Our elite players will be in the draft, so who cares who we lose. Spend big on new players and find a real coach for them. If we keep everything the same, we shouldn't be surprised when we get the same results. Dude made Scourton look average.

It's his defense. Elko and our defense is like Jimbo and our offense. Doesn't matter about anything or anyone other than him. Replacing Bateman is just slapping a new label on bull***** It's up to Elko to make improvements and nobody else.

CFB Writer Mike Craven once said something that stuck with me. He said on a pod, if your HC comes as an offensive or defensive specialist and that side of the ball stinks….he is likely destined to be a failure.

Think he writes/does podcasts now for Dave Campbell's Texas Football.

Our defense in Y1 kinda stunk. Says a lot.

Elko was a DC for ND and A&M. It is literally how he got the option to become a head coach in the first place. I don't believe that he is just letting the defense flail around independently. If the defense stinks that is in Elko and we shouldn't have hired him.

He literally said we can't defend a forward pass and haven't been able to all year and we can't play basic zone defense.

Things were somehow working out before Moss went down, so maybe the sky isn't falling completely yet. We'll see, though. Certainly not excited or optimistic about next year at this point.
