I haven't given up on Elko, but USC had a ton of opt outs or kids out. I hoped he could have coached us to a dub here.

I hope Elko and the team have a great off-season. We have to have better next season. Wheels fell off the bus at the end of this year.

We had a ton of opt-outs too (injuries as well, at key positions). I can't understand why everyone is so freaked out over this loss. At worst, it means that a lot of our second string were a little bit worse than USC second string.

Situational play calling was still atrocious, but that can be fixed.

Our opt outs were more pervasive than theirs and we had critical positions missing. Not to mention that we had a general lack of motivation to play this game having played a full SEC schedule.

They tend to wear maroon colored glasses and refuse to accept the reality we are at best a 2nd tier program.

Some truth to the 2nd Tier tag.

I've always thought of us as being a really good JV program. We play well against other JV programs.

But our Varsity against their Varsity seems to be the problem.

Yeah, it's tough to rank the posters in the zoo. Some are just so bad that it resets and challenges the calibration on the rating system.

I've been sick with the flu since Christmas Day. I knew on Thursday there was no way I could stay up for the game based on how I was feeling. Thank God I went to bed at 9:00 last night before we even kicked off.

Thing is that you could tell sark's team was going to be good with better players. Us, not so much. It's mostly coaching that's killing us right now. Doesn't matter how good your players are if the coaches aren't putting them in a place that helps them win. Sark is a way better coach than Elko at this point. Look no further than him being an offensive coach but having a really good defense.

I was in Spain. No way was I going to stay up (or get up) and watch the game. I feel pretty smart right now.

The corners that started the game should be no better than 3rd string next year. Safety #3 was a complete no show. If we had Chapell and Will Lee in this game, we win easy. Not kidding. The secondary was beyond awful.

And the same thing happened last year. We had two young corners starting the bowl who shouldn't have been on the field and they got torched and abused. Both were backups this year and won't factor in next year outside of situational plays here and there. The two that started tonight shoul dbe firm backups next year or should portal out. And #3 on defense should as well.

I just can't anymore with some of you. At 5-7, how the hell could you tell that his team was going to get better? How can you tell that Elko's team won't? Just looking at year 1 results and the fact that Elko's year 1 was in the SEC while Sark's was in the big 12, there is no way that I would consider Sark a better year 1 coach. Where do you people come up with this stuff?
