Literally every time we run blitz with long yardage situations they gashed us all season. ALL SEASON!!

The problem is no one wants to come here. No one wants to be apart of an average program.
Looking forward to baseball season.

We ran man coverage on 3rd and 13 with 27 seconds left. Cant wrap my head around it. It's like they are trying to lose.

Elko sat at the presser and said "we can't defend the forward pass all year" and then he said vs Florida and Missouri we "got lucky"

If we got lucky then why didn't we fix it after a win? We let it linger to LSU where they threw for 400 against us and "got lucky again" and STILL can't fix it. before his pressers are always "yeah we lost cause ABCD but guys the culture is so much better than it was when I got here!!" Well it's not translating on the field so stop just talking like you said you weren't gonna do at the beginning and let's win some meaningful football games.

Just remember this when hope springs eternal next year and people think we have shot at playoff....nope. D will have same coaches and less talent, it will not be better.

We could only wish we had run a seven-man rush. The truth is we never sent more than four on any play during Southern Cal's final drive.

In the case you reference, third and 13 at 27 seconds, we rushed only three men. Only three went after the quarterback on second down as well. Meanwhile USC kept six blockers in the scheme.

There were plenty of problems with our pass defenses, but blitzing too many men was not one of them.

USC was playing backups, as well. Didn't we have our starting QB and OLine and receivers for the most part? Didn't we have our starting LBs and most of our starting secondary?
