Is it legal to throw to the long side of the field? Or are we required to throw strictly to the short side?

Though the offense has been a nice improvement over the Jumbo era, not saying much, it still leaves a lot to be desired, especially in the red zone. Seems like we depend on a player to make an unbelievable play to score as opposed to scheming like most teams to help get players open looks, etc. I have seen many more teams with less talent have a more efficient offense throughout college football this year.

There were a few nice "new" looks/routes early in the 3rd quarter but still don't understand the redzons struggles.
