I do think it is pretty obvious even for an outside observer than Dimbo simply paid for as many 4-5 star players and assumed/hoped/tried to get them to mesh as a team. We saw how that worked out. Bad seeds, bad fits, bad teammates led to disarray once the going got tough.

There was really only one way to go as far as culture goes for the new regime. Up.

We like what we are seeing so far. The challenge will be to get all these parts coming together mostly from the portal mesh as a team. Certainly can be done. Before we anoint this newer staff with Jack Welch-like leadership and team building skills lets see how they come together in 2025. I am very optimistic. But we need results.

It is a good thing to bring in an influx of talent at key positions from the portal. But if it becomes too much, it might be a management challenge.

I look forward to seeing how the new pieces gel.

I guess I'm a winner since I dated the prom queen. She was a loser for dating me though. I didn't win prom king.

Jumbo was merely another symptom of the cultural dysfunction. He was not the cause.

Booster infighting. Political battles. Media pumpers. Those are the real cultural obstacles.

This is true. I remember earlier this year on radio Ryan talking about how it's going to be really interesting what starts coming out if Texas starts losing some games because there's a lot of stuff going on that people don't know about.

Its amazing how many teams have a culture problem, its just another bogus excuse for not winning.
