Whether the blindside block was illegal or not, Clemson started that drive on the Texas side of the field, with plenty of opportunities to score a TD instead of an FG. I blame the loss of four points there on the Clemson O for lack of production rather than on the refs for what appeared to be a properly-called penalty.

A team in the College Football Playoff--theoretically one of the top 12 teams in the nation--should have been able to score a TD there, not a FG. Clemson, so far, is proving--like Indiana and SMU already did--that the CFP Committee made poor decisions for these 1st-round matchups.

Including this seasons results we have 77 wins vs their 78 wins in the last ten years.

During that time frame we played in the toughest division in football, competing every year against the best football dynasty that has ever existed.

Over the last 10 years 4 of the national champions were in our division, and 6 from our conference.

The longhorns haven't been a conference mate with a single championship team since they themselves won it in 2005.
