Our offense fell apart without him. Him and Owens are going to be a top 1-2 punch for our offense with an OL built with a bunch of old men. Should be able to get that 4th and 1 next season.

Any official word on what his injury was? It looked bad and the ln Elko came out after thebgane and said wasn't as bad as initially feared and then announced he was out for the year a day or two later...

I continue to believe that people sort of downplayed the impact of losing Moss late in the season. We were not much of a multidimensional offense with him, and losing our top offensive weapon likely cost us one -- maybe two -- games down the stretch.

Problem was our OL. Even with moss we struggled running vs Arkansas, Miss St, LSU 1st half. Our OL had a lot of injuries though, so yeah. Sips ran it fine against us with their 4th-stringer. OL matters a lot.

But running game fell off dramatically without him.

Moss was 13 for 117 with a 9.0 average vs Arkansas

Mississippi State wasnt great but wasnt bad either

Our issue wasn't running against LSU it was Weigman passing the ball.

Where did you pull that stat from? Moss wasn't even our leading RB rusher vs LSU. It was Daniels. Moss was 14 carries for 83 yards, a solid average that elevated that 2nd half in the zone-read.

Didn't say Moss was our leading rusher. I said running the ball wasn't our issues vs LSU.

You literally said Moss had 117 yards on 13 carries. Lol well that's wrong. It was 83 yards. And I have a feeling it was a much worse average in the 1st half before we ran QB-zone-read every play.

Sorry I didn't include vs Arkansas in that sentence. But since you mentioned Arkansas, Mississippi State, and LSU i responded in that order.

Running vs LSU before Reed came in on our 3rd series of second half

Moss

10 carries
55 yards
5.5 average

Daniels

8 carries
49 yards
6.1 average

Smith

2 carries
7 yards
3.5 average

Total RBs

20 carries
111 yards
5.6 average

That includes 9 runs of at least 5 yards and no negative rushes

Well Reed Adams announced he's returning so that helps.

Is 1188 now arguing losing Moss was not that big of a deal.

Holy Sheeeeeeet!

That's pathetic, even for the low bar he has set for himself.

Our season went south in a hurry after the Moss injury. Losing him was devastating to our offense and we essentially had no running game to help take pressure off of Reed.

Season started south with the loss of Owens, then Chappell, Nabou, Bisontis, Moss, etc.. SEC. I know everyone thinks we should've made the CFP, but we were on borrowed time the whole way. Especially after we went one dimensional. Sorry to be the messenger, but 2025 just gets us a step closer. I still think we are 1 year ahead of Sarkisian.. He was 8-4 year #2? Then again A&M doesn't have Horns schedule.

He's actually making a completely valid point on the importance of O Line play, but you pumpers would rather delve into personal attacks than acknowledge opinions that aren't 100% sunshine and rainbows.

Yes but his arguement was extremely flawed.

We ran the ball well including Daniels until Moss went down. Granted Bisontis was hurt as well so it was probably a combo of the two.

The last rumor I heard was that he had more than one tear. I hope he comes back strong, but you never know. Green had over a year before he played again and he's still not back to what he was.

I heard that he tore three ligaments in one knee. If that is true, he will not be a factor next year.
I hate tu. It's in my blood.
