Silly question, but did any of those sophomores that were here this year show anything to get excited about. I dont remember seeing them but very well could have missed it.

No, not really. Only Noah had considerable playing time on that list from Vander. Hudson didn't play much due to injury I believe, and Craver played, but not an every down WR at MS St (the other WR Coleman was their better weapon; craver is more like ernest campbell type, but we haven't seen him play yet).

Can throw Bussey on the list as he will have the 2nd most playing time after Noah in a WR role.

Talent on paper (always a good first step or needed step), but will have to prove it on the field.

IMO, we are still needing another WR with big time 'experience' and talent until we know who shows up to play next year.

Bethel-Roman showed a little in the NMSU game when he was O'Neils go-to receiver on that beautiful touchdown drive. I think I remember Williams catching a couple of passes early in the season. Don't remember seeing Campbell play. He may be the fastest of the group, but it was probably a big jump for him going from 2A high school ball to college. Bussey obviously got a lot of experience. I still think it's a good group and I hope they develop and are ready by next season.

Myles and Johnson were obviously the jewels of the WR freshman recruiting class, but I feel like Norman was a sneaky good get out of Alabama. His film is good. He runs really good routes and is impressive running with the ball in his hands.

really need one more guy and hopefully a proven guy. love the two additions and think they have bright future but i wouldn't hate another guy who has done it at the collegiate level.

I'd love to see an upper classmen with some production added. Maybe a 1 year guy even from a smaller school.

It's already the best WR room on paper that we've had in years.

Another addition would put it over the top and make it one of our strongest position groups.

agree 100%. really like the additions but would love to have a guy that you know has and can do it at the division 1 level. doesn't have to be a star but a plug and play guy who acts like a pro. upper class men with a year left and working for a shot at the nfl. perfect fit.

If we don't drastically improve our offense next year, our days of bringing in major talent at skilled positions will be dead..

Where is all the talent? There is basically zero production on that list.

It's extremely unproven. But raw talent is absolutely high. It takes a lot to try and argue against the talent. But raw talent is just that until it's proven talent.

He was recruited to play DB.

Wake me up when Santa delivers:

- an experienced jr or sr leader at QB
- a first team SEC RB
- a 1st round draft choice at LB
- an all American head hunter at Safety
- one or two first/second/third round draft choices on OL & DL
- proven winners at all other positions (I'll take winners over talent, everyday of the week and twice on Sunday)

and an experienced playoff coaching STAFF that knows what to do with the pieces!

Correct. We have recruited many top 5 and top 10 classes over the years, so the talent has been there. The results have not.

On 2nd down, especially in times where we have serious momentum.

i do not believe their is a poster in the zoo that has been good enough to get that many gifts from santa this year.

Yep, and he could go back to DB at this rate. Could be whatever his preference is at this point though.

I would think so too. But the final decision needs to be made this off-season so that he can go all in and never look back.

I've seen enough of Bussey on offense to make me very happy if he stays on offense.
