Surprising, in light of his comments after the game this weekend, where he said his current coach is the best he ever had and the camaraderie within the UIW team was the best he has ever been a part of

I can't even really generate any emotion for this anymore. He's probably not an NFL guy, at least not solidly so, so he is making the smart decision and milking NIL while he can. He had some solid games here but wasn't the answer, so I guess I wish him success. I wonder if he ever forgets which colors to put on in the morning.

Hope hes getting NIL. He was in the same recrutiing class as guys going into their 3rd year in the NFL. That is a lof of college football this dude has played.

He was productive enough to warrant getting a look from some bigger programs. If he can find a spot as a starter somewhere that has a good O line and is able to replicate that production on a bigger stage, he definitely has a shot to get drafted. Not in the top half of the draft but he has late round potential.

Well……

Under a different OC with a better passing game, maybe so, at least for one year. He does have a better arm than Reed. Certainly a better passer. Reed hopefully will get there but he's limited by Klein. Zach in Kleins offense would be bad too.

I only watched UIW one game( (Saturday). Very much a quick horizontal passing game. Hitch/quick slants etc. Get the ball out quickly to their receivers or running backs so they can use their running ability. Very Jake Spavital type offense. I would imagine Calzada would like to play in a more downfield passing game if he has any NFL dreams.

Rumor is, he wants to go to any team that can snag Jordan Shipley. Calzada prefers experienced receivers and if Shipley can be enticed to sign, he will be in his 23rd season.

Shockingly, Google says he only "played" for 3 schools. The internet legend of Tate Martell had me thinking he played for 8 schools into his 30's.
