For what it is worth, I hope he has a better career moving forward. I was really hoping he would be an Aggie out of high school but he signed with Tech. Maybe a change of scenery is all that is needed. We really need WR upgrade and hopefully this is it.

One of my coworkers kids plays at Tech. He told me that his son said that Micah could not get open in practice or make plays. He also said the he got locked down a lot by corners and by the ones that didn't start. That is why he didn't play much at Tech. He also said that losing him was not a loss at all by the Tech team.

Well, knocking a WR down before the ball gets there is a penalty so not worried about that one.

Have you asked your second cousins coworkers friend's boyfriend what their opinion is?

Superman, that same info about Hudson has been available all season from many sources. No need to be hateful. Hopefully he does better here. It's worth a chance, but not worth seven figures if that's accurate. IMHO…

Ohh look, a tweenage girl opined on a football player and let us know that he is "mid". I guess I will value her opinion more than the professionals that do this day in and day out.

No FR is ever a bust. And he likely would have been a major part of techs rotation next year. Anyone trying to convince themselves otherwise is just coping.

Funny, because I have heard about 8-10 different reasons on why he didn't start.

Turns out, no one really knows. I appreciate the insight, but it should be taken with a grain of salt like every other rumor. This also reads like massive coping.

The most likely? He was true freshman on a team that had 3 very productive WRs start for a very good passing offense.

Its not about lowered expectations.

It's just the simple math. We may add 1 or 2 at the most. Maybe none if we don't fid the right fit/upgrade. We have 17 on campus including still 7 that have started multiple games for us. We may lose 1-2 more. Most teams carry 14-16.

We aren't mad.

A more accurate description is we are scratching our heads as to why he just never panned out this season after Joey Mc and Co. talked all off-season about him being "generational" and "could start immediately".

Then once the season started, all we heard from Joey Mc. is "who do I take off the field to put Micah on the field?" His point was valid...we had a room of WR's with some phenomenal production.

I get Micah was injured from the end of high school season all the way to fall camp. But he was healthy (supposedly) at the start of fall camp. I get that he missed spring ball and was just behind the others. But if he was so "generational" and "game-changer", then you would think he could still break through on the 2-deep. But he never did. And then he got injured again, and then no-showed for the final game of the season (didn't attend it at all).

Rumors swirled that he simply couldn't pick up the playbook...like at all. It helped explain why he wasn't on the 2-deep for most of the season. Raw talent like that just doesn't simply sit on the sidelines.

He did have 8 receptions...but a lot of that was in garbage time.

I'm not trashing him. I'm not mad. I'm just confused because of the conflicting information we received on him for essentially an entire year. Maybe in high school he was allowed to just run his own routes and out-talent everyone else on the field. Who knows? Maybe Zach Kittley had too complicated of a scheme. I would buy that explanation as well.

At the end of the day, he was simply beat out by the other WR's on the team. The reasons why are not known by any of us. But this is one of those quintessential "potential vs. production" situations.

If he can't pick up the playbook, then he needs more Nick Saban hat throwing. Who knows what happened with the lack of production on the field, but if they were telling you he was a game-changer, they probably saw a ton of raw talent. We didn't utilize Terry Bussey this season nearly enough. That's definitely not on Bussey though. Dude is a specimen. He's going to be VERY good but he didn't come in and set the world on fire right away.

Yeah, the story is that is what his agent was shopping around after he entered the portal.

I still can't fathom a school paying top dollar for a portal transfer who, in his first season playing in college, had 8 receptions for 123 yards and no TD's. I thought the whole point of taking players through the portal is production over potential, not the other way around.

I get all that, but it doesn't change the fact that's he's still a great prospect in a big area of need for us. It's a major upgrade to our WR room no matter how you slice it.

Also, I'm not sure why everyone always expects true freshman to take over cfb right out the gates, especially when they miss spring ball and are nursing injuries.
