Figured he would've ended up at Auburn.

Good for him. He'll probably win the Heisman next year.

Good fit for his talents. If they can shore up their OL, he should put up a lot of yards. Significantly less talent pressuring him.

It feels a little reassuring that's the best he could do.

There's always the possibility he gets it together and then gets picked up by A&M again.

UH can act as our minor league affiliate

Should've never lost him.

i think this is a smart play on his part. i think most seem to agree that what ails CW is between the ears. going to houston which is basically hometown not tons of expectations or pressure. can just take a step back and enjoy playing ball again. get his mojo back and rebuild his confidence. he has talent.

He needs a reset.

What he put on the field this year can't help us.

So if he has more, he needs to go somewhere that can get it out of him.

UH's line this year was garbage. Hope they can improve, for the sake of my dad's health and Conner's. But, he won't be up against the same kind of defenders either.

You're assuming
You're right. I'm assuming he didn't leave millions on the table from real football schools just so he could go to renowned powerhouse UH where tons of players go pro.

Andre Ware
David Klingler
Kevin Kolb
Case Keenum
Kyle Allen

... pretty decent track record of putting QBs in the NFL. Even ones that transfer from A&M.

As already pointed out, Kyle Allen did not really get any development or do much at UH.

Players that can make the NFL will make it regardless of the college for the most part.

Nice try. UH has been playing football for nearly 80 years. That a couple of its QBs were good is hardly surprising…and more importantly….says nothing about the current state of the program.

How many quarterbacks have we put in the NFL in that time?

Tannehill - who is easily the best that either school has produced
Kubiak - similar to Keenum
Johnny
Bucky
Mond
McGee

They've definitely had more flops

Oh, and Allen got a lot more experience at A&M than he ever got at Houston, so he is more of an Aggie product

I agree

Kyle received a lot more development at A&M.

And Kyler was making the pros no matter where he went. It's not like OU is the sole reason he made the pros. As I stated earlier, some QBs will make the pros no matter where they go to college.

So no one gets credit!

No question KA received more experience at A&M than UH, and in more than one one way.

(Seems like there was a gif for this at one point that was a little more fun.)

8. Almost twice as many as UH.

The eyes don't lie. He was a product of people seeing what they wanted. I think he'd be better trying to being a big fish in a really small pond.
