Seeing people say UNC is very possibly going to hire him, and are in continued talks. I actually think he's going to be a really great college coach. I can't wait to see the baby blue uniforms of all the UNC video crews.

If he hires a great OC and DC.

Will he ever speak to a player there? Hard to imagine.

And not exactly known for his sunny disposition and ability to connect with players. His style is much more suited to the pros. He could be worse than Herm Edwards at ASU.

This isn't the early 2000s where the "name" power of a coach will instantly move the recruiting needle. NLI and other things have changed that.

He's old enough that if he DID do well, he's only got a few years left where he could really do it

He's a notorious hard ass, and I don't see that going well in today's college game. Maybe at a school like tOSU, Bama, etc. where the "brand" will keep a lot of kids, but that ain't UNC.

Awful hire. His shtick is not going to resonate at all with 18 year old kids in the NIL/portal era

I think he's drawn into the idea of again having total control of the roster. He's a GM and coach and he can do that again without a salary cap. He's not personable, but I bet he could get good assistants with a NFL pedigree.

Not sure it will work out, but I can't fault them for trying. They have nothing to lose.

Unless he pulls a Joe Paterno and coaches till he's 85. (I don't think he would nor do I think he'll find success in CFB)
