Beat us to the NC playoffs. Go figure. There coaching staff as a whole does not make as much as ELKO.

This years schedule? Yes. We can ***** about Texas' schedule all we want, but ours was comparably easy by SEC standards. SMU may have lost to Notre Dame, but it would have at least been a good game. They definitely would beat Auburn, probably SC, and could beat Texas. We can talk all the crap about SMU we want, but they have a great offense that stud players want to play in. And their defense is legit. Not paper tigers like ours who can get hands on ball carriers in the backfield all day long, but allow those plays to miraculously become double digit gains. SMU's defense is better than that.HJack20 said:

I think his point is we suck.Sq 17 said:

You ought to bet then and take the points. SMU is a slight 1.5 favorite on FanDuel.amercer said:
They are going to lose to Clemson and get left out
By every metric I can find for strength of schedule, SMU is way below A&M.Done7 said:
Smu is better than us and they would of won the SEC with our schedule.

You have to really wonder if playing a harder schedule is worth it if in the last 30 years there are no trips to Atlanta, and only one trip to the BIGXII title game.Aggie said:HJack20 said:

We literally play the schedule card every opportunity lol
Who knows if they do .. but I don't think we make the playoff with their schedule either

They would have beaten 3 of Notre Dame, South Carolina, LSU, Texas, and Missouri?HoustonAggie427 said:ccolley68 said:This years schedule? Yes. SMU would have gone 10-2 with our schedule and be in the playoffs
you're on drugs. u.t. fled the B12 for money. What's always motivated them and always will. It's all about the $$$.Kellso said:You have to really wonder if playing a harder schedule is worth it if in the last 30 years there are no trips to Atlanta, and only one trip to the BIGXII title game.Aggie said:HJack20 said:

Florida St and Miami became powerhouse programs in the 1990's when they were the only big dog football programs in the ACC and BIG East.
Would you rather be the big fish in a small pond, or a big fish in a huge pond with other big fishes?
Texas fled the BIGXII because they were tired of TCU and Baylor kicking their ass....so it works both ways.

SMU is going to be 8th, possibly 7th in the rankings tonight.
Unless they get beat by five touchdowns, they are getting in the playoffs, even with a loss to Clemson
SMU would have lost AT LEAST 3 with our schedule. Notre Dame, SC and tu.HoustonAggie427 said:ccolley68 said:This years schedule? Yes. Them leaving had nothing to do with TCU. And if you watched TCU play, they were not remotely close to winning a natty.Quote:
Its not a coincidence that UT fled the BIGXII when TCU almost won the National Title in football.
Its also not a coincidence that UT fled the BIGXII when Baylor won the National Championship in basketball and then tied them in BIGXII football titles with 3.
TCU went 8-4 against Texas after A&M left the BIGXII.
Texas alums were starting to feel that schools they felt were lesser than them......were passing them on the field.
I don't know if you know this about the Texas Longhorns...but there is a long history in this state of a school doing really well in football.....and suddenly UT does something weird....or a scandal happens at said school that is fueled by journalist from Austin.
SMU and A&M in the 1980's.
Baylor under Briles
TCU over the past 10 years...etc
UT was getting regularly pasted by OU, TCU and Baylor in the new BIGXII and they fled for the SEC.
Well, since they didn't, it doesn't matter......and it won't matter next year if they make the playoffs again.HJack20 said:

Or any other ACC team? If SMU isn't deserving then no ACC team is deserving.HJack20 said:
