It was actually nice to watch the semi finals and quarter finals and never having to hear "MO Bamba" all night like every other college game across the country.

This song is about a sip yet idiots here think we have some claim to it.

The song is named after Mohamed Bamba, a former Texas Longhorn and current Los Angeles Clippers center who grew up with Sheck Wes in Harlem, New York. The song compares Wes' experience as an up-and-coming rapper to Bamba's experience as a high school recruit.

After attending the Siuth Carolina game this year I am more "anti LED light at football stadiums" than I have ever been.
The football game was secondary to the lights, music, and video board. Such a horrible atmosphere.

And we're rushing headlong into the same thing. Yay!! Generic State U here we come!

I went to A&M because it was different. That's what made it so special. I don't understand why so many people want us to be just like everyone else.
You went to A&M because we didn't have lights or speakers in the football stadium? Maybe you should reconsider your priorities.

Led lights help our secondary turn their heads and locate the ball.

We're not like anyone else. We're the only stadium in the country that has no lighting on the end zone upper deck.

I always wonder what it's like coming down steep stairs in those stadia where the lights go dark as part of a show.

Seems like a liability, especially for the olds.

No, that would be a spot light aimed at the wide open receiver!

it will also light up their name and numbers on the back of their jersey as they are playing catch up

How exactly do you propose they light up the north snd south upper decks? The stadium light locations would require pointing lights directly at the upper decks. Pretty sure the people in the upper decks would not want lights pointed towards their face while trying to watch the game.

We're not doing it right until it looks like the inside of a vape shop.

We don't need lights. We simply need to finally mirror our Kyle Field.

I know how we can kill two birds with one stone. Mount LED lights on the players helmets. Different colors.
When they make a first down or tackle or touchdown they can hit a button and turn on the lights and it will add to their celebration dances.
We can be the first to do that. Start a new trend.

Kyle Field can get more lights, but our tennis facility is completely outdated, and we are the only SEC school without indoor courts. Before you say "it's just tennis", look up our most recent National Champs for A&M, and see how many years in a row both teams have made a significant run in the postseason. Hell, the women are 3 time defending SEC Champs.

I know, without football we wouldn't have tennis....but still a joke. Money has been donated for indoors many times, yet keeps getting pushed to Kyle Field and other football projects.

Did the lights provide for a brighter stadium vs what we have, and you just didn't like how they used them to trick things up?

And when someone falls down stairs with a chicken wrap and popcorn, Kyle Field will be named after that person and the payout will be more than Jimbo's.

Because if they can afford a chicken wrap, they have good lawyers.

I've stated it before that I don't like the light shows. The only one I've seen in person was at Neyland in 2023 and that was an afternoon game so it didn't make much effect but it was noticeable.

That being said, the players and the younger fans seem to like it so just make it happen since it is inevitable.

It does look weird on TV for a night game, I'll save judgement for how it looks in person for one of those until I attend one.

They're going to wrap these around the flag poles, problem solved!

Seems like the latest incarnation of the facilities war, where consultants have admins and donors chasing their tails to spend money keeping up with the Joneses on things that don't really impact recruiting.

No... just no... the dimming and flashing lights after scores in your school colors is honestly one of the most obnoxious things in college football. Reminds me of high school on steroids...

And for anyone about to say "But Bama does it"... IDGAF

PS - Why don't we just focus on winning games in November first....

So why change if we're winning? Playing outside makes them tough! If they moved inside with the A/C, they wouldn't be as conditioned. Opponents can't handle the outside heat and we can use that to our advantage!
