There are entire sections that can't be seen on night games. This place should be lit up like Fort Knox for night games so the Space station can see the crowds here!!

After attending the Siuth Carolina game this year I am more "anti LED light at football stadiums" than I have ever been.
The football game was secondary to the lights, music, and video board. Such a horrible atmosphere.

And we're rushing headlong into the same thing. Yay!! Generic State U here we come!

I went to A&M because it was different. That's what made it so special. I don't understand why so many people want us to be just like everyone else.

This is the reason I'm excited for this idea. Regardless of flashy color lights (which aren't bad if they are used sparingly), the lighting at Kyle was terrible. Looked terrible on TV and did not show Kyle Field majesty at all. …completely un-lit fan sections that cheated the look of the largest venue in the SEC.

I doubt the LED lights will be aimed at the top decks of the end zones so it will probably be the same.

I've watched a lotta college ball this year…..of a lot of different teams. If you are completely honest it's getting to where all the atmospheres are exactly the same at all the venues.
Same music, same flames and fireworks, same lights, same DJ scripts, same smoke and mirrors.
All copy catting the other one.

It was actually nice to watch the semi finals and quarter finals and never having to hear "MO Bamba" all night like every other college game across the country.

While I agree and admit i witnessed the same thing. There are far too many A&M traditions to ever say "we're just like everyone else" even with adding LEDs and doing similar ideas with new lighting

Agree with you there. I think of the Indian war chant that Florida State and the KC Chiefs do. Unique (as far as I know) to them. Florida State is really iconic with it.
TAMU has some examples of that as well……Like the yell at each kick off…..but slowly it's all being eroded away… but that's just my opinion… and like butts, everyone has one.

Wouldn't surprise me if TV partners put an end to this soon. I can't imagine they like all these schools turning off the lights after touchdowns and big moments. Doesn't make for great television. And we know the almighty network dollar is what truly runs the sport.

I know how we can kill two birds with one stone. Mount LED lights on the players helmets. Different colors.
When they make a first down or tackle or touchdown they can hit a button and turn on the lights and it will add to their celebration dances.
We can be the first to do that. Start a new trend.
