We will have to see. Klein needs a QB similar to himself to have an offense that scares good defenses. Big, physical and can get you 1-2 yards almost at will. Then you can take body blows up the middle and hit plays downfield.

Define modern football. I mean Auburn won a NC doing this a decade ago (yes, Cam was a generational talent, but that was their offense). N Dakota St won for most of the past decade doing this in FCS. Hell, Georgia Tech did it to Georgia last night. South Carolina seems to have a formula that works now as well.

That's what they were hoping for when our middling SEC existence was doing enough damage to their recruiting that their team was in the doldrums. They had to join us.

And now the world is rightfully back in order for them. They're at the top, of the conference and maybe even all of college football, and we're insignificant.

He was in for like 6 plays and the osu game last year under a different staff and started like half this season. I wouldn't really call that "2 years". He might get better, but he's still pretty inexperienced in actual games.

Nothing has changed. I've been watching this same song and dance for 24 years. I see very little different. We have a nice game every couple of years where we beat someone we aren't supposed to. We have a nice run of games about 2-3 times per decade, to put ourselves in position to actually make some noise- only to fall short and do nothing in the end. About once every 10 years we have a truly good season, where we rack up one or two more wins than average, and win an ultimately meaningless bowl. The rest of the time we are mediocre, with some truly awful seasons mixed in.
And somehow, that keeps us all coming back for more.

Supposedly the 90's were nice… or so I hear.
