Criticizing Reed is kind of ridiculous. He's a true freshman, whom, for some reason they tried to turn into a pocket passer the last few weeks. He has a good arm and can be explosive in the run game. He needs work, but this isn't on him. This is on A&M for putting so much stock in a QB who hasn't proven anything in 3 years and can't stay healthy to start the season.

Reed not seeing a wide open Moose
Amari cut outside on 4th and 1 instead of inside
Lee dropped interception
Missed sack on 3rd down by a free running blitzed against a Ewers on a bad ankle
Anderson missed knocking down 3rd pass or possibly intercepting
Like just make 2 of those plays and you are in this ballgame.

Announcers make too big of deal about who gets the ball to start 2nd half.
Most teams don't score on the 1st possession unless the opposing team sux and is going to lose anyway.

That is what they are taught to do. They are supposed to run with them and then play their hands when they move for the catch and then the ball when it gets there. It would have worked on that 2nd TD if he would have just hit the ball. Easy for me to say sitting at home though.

He has made some bonehead decisions on 4th down. In a game like this you always take the points early.
Remember that Elko is still new to head coaching. He didn't have to make those calls in the past.
