The Alabama fan base in the first year of Saban's replacement, the same fans who have been treated to three national championships in the last ten years are now booing their team. Apparently a fan base that wants to win championships doesn't settle for anything less than championships.

I think Aggie fans in the 1930's must have been more like Bama fans than our current crop of sunshine pumpers.

Big difference is they've won multiple titles in the past 10 years. How many have we won in the past 80 years?

You never replace a legend. You replace the guy who replaced the legend. He will be gone before his third season ends.

its a fine line. Overall I don't like booing your own team. But in the era when 50+% of your roster would leave the team if they could get a better deal elsewhere, I can see why people would have less "support the team no matter what" feels

Not sure if it's happened since but in the Fran era there was definitely some booing.

There was booing at the 2011 t.u. game, and probably a few other times.

First time I definitely remember hearing booing at Kyle was in 2005 when Iowa State came in town and curb stomped us 42-14.

Totally agree…..if our fans booed more we definitely would win a natty. Makes complete sense. J/K fan tolerance/intolerance has nothing to do with it. Recruiting, NIL and coaching are the keys. They've earned the right to control their own destiny by winning. Not many teams in that position. I'll take it without booing.

Bama is established we are working on getting to that point. Bama expects to win every year. Anyone that expects that here is delusional.

Doesn't mean we can't / won't get there but we aren't there yet.

They are booing Milroe and Deboer decision to keep playing him.

The notion it takes ten years to win an NC is false. But short of infinite money the notion any school can turn around a program with the right coach in a single year is specious.

I don't think we even need to discuss firing Elko or booing him. And DeBoer was like Texas if succeeded in luring Nick Saban or even Chris Petersen to Austin. A notionally spectacular hire.

The key is this point is anyone who thinks you will win NCs with a Cignetti or three star talent and great coaching is highly unlikely to be correct based on many variations of attempting something similar.

We hired Jimbo because he promised he had a process like Saban's. He proved he was clowning us but his recruiting wasn't bad (feel free to say otherwise…don't care.)

Have bama fans tried complaining on message boards?
