Concerning…

Florida 6
Bowling Green 13
Arky 7
USCe. 0
NMSU 14

One TD in 2nd half in SEC play…

Is he easy to game plan, when you know he's gonna be the QB ??

Or, is Klein's Offense easy to game plan ??

He didn't play the first half in that game

Klein isn't the guy.

Offense is way too vanilla and predictable.

If he shakes it up and opens a playbook the blows away the contention for the remainder of the season, then yes, absolutely forgiven, but I expected a lot more.

With Elko being a defense guy, I trust him to know what type of offense will challenge opposing D's the most.

Reed has a high ceiling, dynamic feet, but is lacking right now in decision making and Jimbo's favorite word, execution

Let's hope that's just youth, and more experience alleviates that

Florida - Up big early and Klein dialed it back and we ran more in 2nd half.

Bowling Green - Weird game. Reed wasnt very good. Learned some lessons.

Arky - Mostly continuation of BG, but running game turned it on hard in the 4th and we just kept with it. Didnt try to pass much.

SC - Some baffling playcalling after regaining control late in the 2nd quarter, and defense continued to leak forcing us into predictable playcalling.

NMSU - Seriously? Game was over at halftime.

Trying to create a trend from incomplete and not enough data points.

100% also BG might be a MAC champ, so not a bad job there

Arky, our run game was also our OLine's coming out party

SC definitely more on defense (and refs)

This 'trend' is not marcel if it even exists lol

Why not both, OP?

Let's not throw in New Mexico where he didn't play for the vast majority of the second half.

South Carolina was bad play calling.

I'm curious what our playbook will like tonight. I wouldn't be surprise if we go pass heavy to save RB legs and give Reed more time in the cockpit throwing. But the bigger l question will be how much we can adjust when they have us schemed.

If we don't see the involvement of TE's after their performance last week, I will be shocked tonight.

Klein needs to go. Otherwise he'll be Elkos downfall if he sticks with him too long.

The real question is, how come Bussey hasn't be incorporated to our offense more? Do we get the equivalent of Ainias Smith freshman year where we finally realized he was a playmaker and started getting him the ball late in the season?

Y'all need to chill TF out. This is Kleins first year with these kids, on top of that, the SEC… This is Reeds first season playing consistently. CHILL!!!! It will take time to adjust and get the system working.

Don't worry, 2nd and 3rd strings are taking over midway through the third

I agree. But I bet we see a lot of TE involvement.

We were blowing Florida out at half and he played like 1 series against New Mexico in the second half.

Who thought we would be 5-1 in conference right now at the beginning of the season or 8-2 overall?

Absolutely football clueless poster. Like many others who believe the same.

OP is same. Reed wasn't playing in all those games and Klein was intentionally calling plays for development purposes....not paper stats.

Not ready to say CK isn't the guy as I do think he's hampered with lack of WR talent and inconsistent QB play (bad with CW, mediocre with Reed who is too elongated on his throws...has to wind up too much). Just last game was the first time I really saw CK"s offense of old with the true 2 TE set with fake run blocks and TEs flooding the patterns (esp seams).

Think CK has tried to much to fit to the personnel on hand and then play to our best offensive weapon in Moss (period...not even argumentative that anyone else is close).

We lack a true speed back that cuts back (used to the little guys in KSU), but QB play has just been average.

Think yr 1 has been a hindrance.

Also think Elko claims he wants tempo, but he wants an offense that can run the ball and control clock (why he went after CK for his run game offense). Our OL has been serviceable (way better than years past), but injury plagued and foul prone. Elko also know the DL is the best unit on the team, but we have secondary weakness...still.

Great D coordinators who become head coaches like Slocum many times have O coordinators who are too conservative. Is that what we are looking at with Elko? Right now, I love Elko as a head coach and a D guru.

MR has plenty of upside, but still looks like a redshirt freshman at times trying to figure it out. Then he flashes the flashiest of flashes. He'll produce well in CK offense going forward. Like mentioned above, we need a speed back. And experienced TE that block and catch. And better OL depth. This is just v1.0 of CK offense with the players we had from Jimbo's "Cheesecake Factory" Offense.
