There was a threat on here about speakers being brought in to increase crowd noise. What happened to the thread. I don't want to believe that it's true but an SI article sites a KBTX reporters saying that that's what's happening

Its my understanding that the speakers are for the band so I don't see what all the fuss is about.

The OP made it sound like a troll post.

It has been stated many times that the speakers are for the band. If I am not mistaken using speakers for crowd noise is not allowed in the SEC.

I think the band would sound awesome amplified on speakers. They need it to be able to keep up with the DJ.
