3 sacks, one being a strip fumble tonight. Can you imagine the NCAA records he would have set if they called holding when it clearly happened? I pray the good guys find another Myles one day.

The term "generational talent" gets thrown around too much these days, but MG truly was/is that.

Congratulations to Myles Garrett for reaching 10+ sacks for the 7th straight year!

The only player I can think of that actually got better after going to the Browns. He was good for us but disappeared in big games. He didn't take over games like Von did as an Aggie.

Two more 10+ sack seasons and Myles will be tied with the great Reggie White at the top of the list!

He didn't disappear due to lack of effort or mental mistakes... he was just constantly out of the play bc of Chavis' lazy coaching scheme

Every single play he had Myles & Hall (Hall was pretty good in his own right) rushing wide around the outside edge of the pocket

Good teams w smart coaches exploited this nonstop by running draws straight up the middle... & Chavis had no answer

Man, I'm glad you posted this. I've always believed the same thing. He was held big-time by every team during his time with us. It's almost like the refs decided it was ok to hold him because he was so good in order to level the playing field. He would have had 10 sacks a game for us if not held.

We were weak in the middle, it wasn't the scheme. When the edges go wide, it creates more ground (larger gaps) for your interior to fill... we didn't have the talent or depth to do fill those gaps consistently.

That said, a different scheme would have probably fit our depth chart better... but there would be other trade offs.

Scourton is pretty good. Maybe equally as productive as Myles if not the same physical specimen

Sorry. Not even close.

Nic won't even reach Myles' true freshman performance.

Elko would have had a field day with MG on his d-line
