Any chance we could still get to Atlanta with a loss to Auburn and a win vs. tu?

I don't think this has been discussed here yet.

I don't want to lose to auburn. But I got a bad feeling about that gameā€¦.
Give me the guy who shoots for excellence and fails over the guy who shoots for mediocrity and succeeds.

Scar and Auburn are not alike this year.

The point is we need to quit playing down to level of teams below us

Scar should've/could've been double digit win but we **** the bed in embarrassing fashion

Hopefully we don't put out an equally pathetic effort this weekend

Yes, there are actually a number of ways this happens, however they all required Alabama to lose a game.

Big takeaway: If we lose to Auburn, beat Texas, and Alabama loses a game, we're be going to Atlanta.

In order for us to get to where we want to be- it requires us to NOT lose another game this season. Simple as that- win, no excuses.
If it's left up to the committee and we have 3 lossesā€¦. No playoffs

If A&M loses to Auburn, A&M needs Alabama to lose one and A&M must beat Texas.
If A&M loses to Texas, A&M needs Alabama to lose one and for Texas to lose to Kentucky this week OR Alabama to lose twice which sets up an A&M-Texas rematch.

A&M vs Texas Rematch:
  • Bama loses both remaining games and A&M loses to Texas OR Bama loses one and Florida beats Ole Miss this week (requires A&M to beat Auburn and lose to Texas).

A&M vs Georgia:
  • Texas and Alabama loses at least 1 more game.

A&M vs Bama:
  • A&M wins out. Bama doesn't lose.

...I think those are correct.

Sad to say that has been A&M's modus operandi for decades.
I'm very concerned we may revert to that mindset again against Auburn.

There are at least 2 scenarios in which we play Texas in the SEC Championship Game. They both require us beating Auburn and losing to Texas and Alabama losing to either Oklahoma (away) or Auburn (home).

Above Georgia and Tennessee based on conference opponent win percentage (0.4688).

3. Georgia (6 - 2)
With Tennessee, below Texas A&M based on conference opponent win percentage (0.4531).
Above Tennessee based on head-to-head record (1-0).

4. Tennessee (6 - 2)
With Georgia, below Texas A&M based on conference opponent win percentage (0.375).
Below Georgia based on head-to-head record (0-1).

B. Vanderbilt upsets Tennessee.
1. Texas (7 - 1)

2. Texas A&M (6 - 2)
Above Georgia and Ole Miss based on conference opponent win percentage (0.4531).

3. Ole Miss (6 - 2)
With Georgia, below Texas A&M based on conference opponent win percentage (0.3906).
Above Georgia based on head-to-head record (1-0).

4. Georgia (6 - 2)
With Ole Miss, below Texas A&M based on conference opponent win percentage (0.4375).
Below Ole Miss based on head-to-head record (0-1).

Well, if we do put out a pathetic effort, then we don't deserve to be in Atlanta even if we beat tu

For the love of God- stop. If we can't beat Auburn this year we have no business anywhere near a championship or playoff game. We belong in some b-rated bowl with our bench warmers.
