This feels like a bad breakup.

First the magician azzhole who ****ed with Conner before the ND game

Then the fallout from ND performance

To an incredible performance vs mizzou

To a soul-crushing performance vs LSU

To towels on heads during games

To an interception drop kicked football to the crowd against a 2-7 team


The last time a 5* struggled this much within A&M was Kyle Allen. And guess what, dude was playing injured.

We believe Conner has an injury, we just don't know what.

Conner was hamstrung by Jimbo and just couldn't make it happen here after he was healthy again for some reason.

What the hell happened? This is one of the biggest mysteries of Aggie football recently outside of Moose's playtime issues and Bryce Foster regressing each year he was on campus

I think he needs a darkness retreat with a dab of ayahuasca. Probably makes an NFL team on arm talent, but needs to get his mojo back. If I were to guess what's wrong, it's probably a hot co-ed. Many of young men have fallen to the magic of a snapping poonani.

He doesn't have an injury. It's all mental. His confidence is shot. Jimbo and Addazio (mainly Addazio) put him in that hole and he's not strong enough to get himself out.

The narratives on players lacking facts really aren't helpful even if they sound good as excuses. Why not stop floating them?

The only A&M QB that I have seen that could absorb all the attention of the TAMU faithful and thrive was Johnny Manziel, and he was a walking hot mess.

Seems Kyle Field is a perfect environment for backup QBs to come in after an injury or catastrophe and play the hero.

Just an observation. I like Reed and I feel sorry for Weigman. Few kids could survive the emotional gauntlet of playing quarterback here.

I really believe he's lost his confidence after the injury

He had the mixxou game but that's when he was t really pressured at all and guys were wide open

When things get tight and the pressure comes you can see the light internal clock speed up In his head and he seems to panic

People spend too much time over analyzing stuff like this. Guess what, top recruits or top draft picks end up not working out all the time. It happens. Conner just can't handle it. It's too bad, maybe he would given different circumstances- who knows but it's not working here. Move on already.

I have no idea how one can blame anyone else for his performance, but that is society today. I see it with youth parents. I see it on this board.
At the end of the day, this season and even the injury last season will make him better. If he owns it and he allows it to motivate him he will be lights out in the near future. If he has a bad attitude, then it will help him down the road in those circumstance knowing that a bad attitude will not get you far.
I truly hope to see Conner stick it out with A&M and battle Reed for QB1 next year. I am certainly not giving up on him. If he decides he needs a new scenery, then I will be wishing him the best of luck wherever he goes and hope my NFL teams gets to benefit from the work he puts in some day.
