Hugh Freeze is exactly what you think he is and I'm not even concerned about his team right now. We could beat them in crocs and t shirts at 2am with the flu.

Here are the keys to beating the sips - please put this in your notes.

1) No designed runs for Marcel EVER. Not once.
2) When Marcel has space to run - even if it's 3 yards - take it. Every time.
3) Do NOT snap the ball with more than 3 seconds on the play clock. NOT ONCE.
4) Use the tight ends a lot.
5) Run the ball.
6) Do not make more than 4 pass attempts over 20 yards.
7) Put me in charge of the Jumbotron

So what you're saying is let their safeties lineup with heels at 8 yards all night with our best running back out?

Not sure you'd want Klein or any other coach thinking they can beat an SEC team trying to climb out of a hole in crocs and a t shirt as 2am with the flu because that wouldn't end any better than the game at SC.

1) I think they probably need a few of them. He's too fast and athletic to not design a few plays to get him either through the line or around the edge.
2) Yes, agree.
3) Not sure I agree with that one. It would slow down the game for sure, but there are times when you need to use tempo to your advantage, especially late in the game or any other time the defense is winded. I agree with your general statement that keeping tugs offense off the field is a good thing to keep our defense fresh.
4) YESYESYESYES!!!!!
5) YESYESYESYES!!!!! and also PASS the ball. Can't have the defense loading the box. I think Marcel's going to be a much better passer by the time that game rolls around than we saw early in the year mainly due to getting comfortable with the receivers. You saw it against NM State. I realize it will be tougher against tu who really does have a legitimately good defense. My confidence comes from believing that Marcel is as good or better a QB than Ewers even at this young point in his career.
6) Gotta have a good many pass attempts over 20 yards to loosen up the run, especially without Ruben and Leveon.
7) Jumbotron's yours, my man.

Tu's played one away game after 2:00 this year and that was at a Vandy stadium under construction and they won by 3. Their other road games were Michigan who's struggling to make a bowl game and Arkansas where they won by 10 against a banged up Taylen Green and Jaquinden Jackson. Ewers was flustered against Georgia at home, under the lights, as a favorite. They don't know the environment they're walking into…

All true but who's going to cover their wide receivers? Until we've got more talent in the secondary, we can't win this game. And scoring won't be easy either with moss out.

Roll Reed out to the right and allow him to see the field, let the WR's get open, and see if there's any green space in front of him.

No crocs though.

8) point being, and I've said this for years, that the hardest route to defend is a come-back when the CB's back is turned. Almost every CB will have his back turned at some point when you are running a vertical route in man coverage. When the receiver stops and comes back, he will almost ALWAYS have a huge advantage on the defender.
It's time we start using this a bit more.
