You don't fix a roster problem in game 11 of the season. The current LB crew does not have any NFL level lateral speed or length really. Watch Georgia, Bama, maybe tu if you want to see sideline to sideline speed (although Anthony Hill looks like he's put on too much weight for SEC play and has slowed down a tick). This is how South Carolina killed us and the same tactic will be employed wash, rinse, repeat until stopped.

I think Scooby has the speed needed and possibly Sanford. Both have 40 times in the 4.5s. Unfortunately York isn't at that level. The linebackers did miss their gap a few times which they haven't done for the most part this year. This isn't to say they've been perfect but misses tackles were a much bigger issue and that hasn't been as big a problem for most of the year.

SC had three separate players that were 230+ and that gave us a lot of trouble.

Hasn't yet why expect anything to change. This has been one of the worst Elko defenses at giving up massing chunk plays every single game.

No coincidence that both losses came against teams with mobile QBs that absolutely gashed the defense on off-tackle runs....Where are the 5 man fronts?
