We certainly had a lot of drama for an 8-2 team:

- The fall, rise, and fall of Weigman.
- Reed taking over as QB1 and what he brings to the table.
- Looked like world beaters against Missouri.
- The general collapse against SC.
- New coaching staff.
- Loss of Moss.
- Moose is not loose.
- Both offense and defense are materially better this season.

What did I miss?

Could you comment on the statics as well? I think if we are discussing engineering we need to consider both…

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see any drama stuff on your list. Just normal football stuff.
Drama was the Kyle/Kyler debacle.

"WE'LL ONLY WIN 3 GAMES THIS YEAR!" After the opening loss to ND.
People think I'm an idiot or something, because all I do is cut lawns for a living.

Imo, the only thing could really ruin the season would be an 8-4 finish. 9-3 is a "good" year, especially with a new staff. But I really think that 10-2 regular season is very possible.

At this point, 8-4 would be a Sumlin-level disaster

i think this is a reliant team that has faced quite a bit of adversity and still found ways to win.

lost center
lost guard
qb situation with injuries and demotion if starter
lost top two running backs
lost starting wide receiver after getting him back from injuries earlier in the year
lost first game of the season

the dynamic of this season is overcoming adversity to be honest i don't look at this team and think they are anywhere near as talented or good as some of the other teams we have fielded over the last decade but yet here we are with everything to play for with two games to go. i think that is a testament to the coachi staff and the character of this team.

Beat both Auburn and t.u and its a season that's talked about for years amongst Ag's. Add a playoff victory and Elko moves around College Station on a white horse

Lose any one of the Auburn/t.u games and its another "meh" season

My expectations have vacillated this season.

Pretty much this.

(Though really, for a first season under Elko, beating Auburn would put it at a not so bad season).

Massive improvement to the Oline
Massive Oline injuries
Much better pass protection
Run blocking much worse after injuries
