It's it possible to move a third string defensive line guy to tote the rock in short situations?

This may help our other backs have less on them? If he got just four yards from sheer power running that may be enough to give the other backs some rest.

I'm certainly not an expert here. But is this even possible? And would it have a chance of working?

If there is a Dline guy who played FB in HS or has experience on how to carry the ball....maybe.

I would opt to give the load to Daniels, and try to involve EJ with the passing game. We had a nice swing pass designed for him at the beginning of the season. I think we opened the ND game with it, but Weigman didn't connect. The play design looked great.

I think we'll slide in Bussey for a significant amount of carries

RE-watched the LSU game last night. Dang, Moss has a little extra step in him. Daniels is great too but we will miss Moss down the stretch.

Moss had the size and speed combination that you need from an SEC back. Daniels is a nice complementary back, but he just doesn't have the size to carry a heavy load.

I am sure that Elko has learned a valuable lesson. You need to have at least 4 SEC quality tailbacks in the SEC. Recruiting to that level is hard though. That is what separates the elite teams from the just good.

He had four( thought Smith would be four) in August. Lost Owens in August and then Moss. With the way Smith was recruited I thought as well as most would have been better too. Probably should have recruited a high school back. That was the downfall
