BYU -2.5 at home against Kansas? What in the hell am I missing? Usually lines like this tend to lean toward the underdog, but I have a hard time getting on a suck kansas team.

It means a lot of money has been put on Kansas to cover. I'd say a lot of money. Not to mention BYU has shown some struggles and needed a late drive last week. Kansas has a great rushing attack and clicking at the moment and knocked off Iowa St last week. Kansas could do this and a ML bet on them would be an interesting (and rewarding) pick.

Kansas has been playing better and BYU isn't nearly as good as its record.

I don't think it's a crazy line. NMSU is awful. If we play well, we will easily cover. Obviously no guarantee that we play well. I personally wouldn't put money on this game. I see us either playing like sh** and winning by 17 points or looking good in all aspects of the game and winning by 55. No idea which performance to expect though.

You've got that backwards. If a lot of money was coming in on BYU then the spread would be higher to encourage betting on Kansas. As it is, looks like the opening line before this week was BYU -7. That just confirms either 1) more money is coming in on Kansas or 2) line was quickly readjusted after the results of last Saturday's games. Probably a combination of both.

Still, -2.5 for a #6 team at Home against a 3-6 team has the be a contender for lowest spread in history I would think?
