This is what the CFP committee is recommending in order to optimize your playoff ranking.
And after you take away the self-selected P4 OOC game, this is what the SEC teams have for their weakest 3 OOC game:
Texas: Colorado State, UTSA, UL Monroe
Tennessee: Chattanooga, Kent St, UTEP
Alabama: W. Ky, South Florida, Mercer
Ole Miss; Furman, MTSU, Ga Southern
Georgia: Tenn Tech, UMass, GA Tech
Texas A&M: McNeese, Bowling Green, New Mexico State
College Football isn't a level playing field for everything, but would anyone trade SEC money and schedule to join any other conference.....maybe the Big Ten...maybe? I'm guessing nobody reasonable would trade A&M's place in the SEC with Baylor or Texas Tech or NC State or Tulane just to get an "easier route" to the playoffs.
The complaint from true fans of football should be a question as to why 25% of the schedule is the contract game self-scheduled cupcakes for these P4 schools that bring in millions in revenue.
And the 2nd should be a question as to why Bowl games are part of the 2nd round of the playoffs and not home university stadiums.
