My favorite has to be my senior year in Memorial Stadium where A&M had never ever beaten the sips. But that day was different. We did have several memorable players and coach that helped.

1967, 10-7 Harget hit Bob Long with a long pass that won the game. one great defensive battle.

Not sure of the date, I think is was early '70s, as the t.u. band was entering the field, the Red Pots released a bunch of armadillos loose on the field. They had caught these while cutting for the Bonfire. I worked with a tsip who was in that band and he remembered it well.
the funny thing about that is during the early 70's there were a lot of hippies in Austin who wanted to change the tu mascot from the bull to the armadillo (more peaceful creature, to protest the war in Vietnam)
so, yes, we were poking fun at the "Hookem Hippies" movement

1984. My senior year in the corps. I scalp tickets after the game starts. End up sitting on the 40 yard line of the tu alumni. In full uniform I listen to their fans boo as the hand the ball off and gain 6 yards a pop. They wanted Akers fired. Our defense and offense ended up blowing them out I think 37-12. Pure joy.

After the game I wandered lost in my senior boots asking for directions. Believe it or not their fans weren't helpful.

Was it '97 that the sips tried to rush the field? I recall the fish attempting to stop them.
'95 i believe. we won in '97
95 was the last game of my senior year. We had 400 yards of offense and 5 turnovers. Lost 16-6. Won 27-16 in 97. Rained the whole game.

Was it 87 when we were so loud the sip qb (Gardere?) backed out from under center and wanted the refs to shush us? Refs said "play ball" and we got even louder?

That!
Yes, my senior year!!!!

More of this game. Freshman year, way up in the third deck, super cold, buddy had his flask to keep us warm. This was on the heels of spending all day at friend's apartment making Thanksgiving dinner since none of us went home (somehow no one got food poisoning). Wouldn't trade any of it.
We were up there too. I remember the icicles hanging from the brim of my hat...
There was one dude that was fairly hammered that decided he only needed the aggie flag wrapped around his neck to keep himself warm. He began peeling off layers of jackets and sweatshirts that those around him began to quickly put on themselves...

During the 97 game you could barely see the field late in the first half. After getting completely drenched the wind came in from the north and it felt like it was freezing against the soaked tee shirt and shorts I was wearing. Oddly the field was completely playable which wasn't the case in 98 when there wasn't any rain and tu just happened to have the right cleats for the mysterious slippery conditions.

Mid 90's when tu stormed Kyle Field and the thunder of cadets leaving the stands to stop it filled the air.

I don't remember the exact year. Most likely 91 or 92. Ags were beating them soundly and it was the waning moments of the game. Cameraman on whorn sideline panned down their bench and three big linemen were sitting there crying.

LOVED IT!!!!!!!

The 1975 game tops my list. The first play (reverse play to Carl Roaches) shown in this video clip brought one of the loudest cheers ever at Kyle Field.
