Last year 8-12 after regular season were two-loss teams. FSU won their CCG and was out of top four. Georgia lost and was 6. Oregon lost and was 8. Louisville lost, had three losses, and was third in the three loss teams at 15. Iowa lost and was another three losses team and was at 17. No examples of two loss autonomy conference teams that lost CCG.
In 2022 Clemson and U$C were both CCG runners up and two loss teams Clemson was #7 in week 15 and U$C 10 so both notionally make the playoffs. With more slots there is more room for political gamesmanship of course…
