Georgia wins and Ole Miss is knocked out if the playoff picture, but Georgia still a one-loss conference team.

Ole Miss wins and now both have 2 losses (helps are chances at the CCG), but OM likely jumps us and are in position to take an at-large bid.

We have to win out regardless, which would probably take us to Atlanta. Would prefer NOT to play UGA in Atlanta so two conference losses for them would be good.

We need to finish 7-1 to make the SECCG. Maybe there's a weird path at 6-2, but we can't count on it. The only other teams that could finish 7-1 in that case are LSU and Georgia/Tennessee.

I always laugh at the pot bangers on here when I'm watching any Miss team play.

They consistently give higher ranked opponents a fight. Doesn't matter who the opponent is, or where the game is being played, yet they can't seem to stay on top for long.

Sip is the opposite, they either suck for a decade, or they're gifted a soft season and look good for a year or two.

There are allot of teams out there that deal with the same issues we do. I honestly wonder if some of their message boards are "under-developed," to avoid the kind of negative dumb asses we have on here.

As much as I hate to root for them, I'm an Ole Miss fan today. Simply because a win by the rebels would drop Georgia to 2 SEC losses. And then I'm a Georgia fan next week.

I like Georgia better but I picked Ole Miss in my picem and also would rather not play them in Atlanta if it came down to it in the SEC champ game. Not that I think we have a great chance without Moss to make it there.

Yeah, although depending on how the tiebreakers work out, we can still make the SECCG with us, Georgia, and LSU at 7-1.

The problem with Ole Miss winning is it puts both Georgia and Ole Miss above us in the rankings. And if they both win out, I don't know if we can overtake them unless we win the CCG.

SEC is freaking nuts this year. Every week you just hope to survive and move on. Everyone except OU, Missouri, cow bell, and Florida have a chance to win.

I bet on Ole Miss.

Personally, could never root for Ole Miss (due to LK is an arse and would love to punch him in the mouth for the fun of it).

But they are stacked with talent (they paid a lot for this team) and just watching their WR corps looks 10X better than what we have (bigger, stronger, better route runners, running after catch)....and they are missing their top Wr.

Ole Miss paid to make it happen this year and if they get in a groove, we don't want to see them in a championship game (doubtful we get there, but regardless).

On the other hand if we happen to lose to Sips, a 1-loss Georgia and 1-loss LSU would advance to the SEC title game over 1-loss Sips. So i respect anyone's preference on today's game.

If committee leaves out a 2-loss SEC champ game loser that sets a bad precedent …

I think we have to win out to ensure we make the playoffs regardless. No way Ags get in with 3 losses (ND, SC and Conf Champ Game)

I hate Ole Miss especially Kiffin, but if they win, A&M moves into first place in the SEC alone!

I believe the committee said the CCG will not have an impact on their selection

Honestly, I think it is best that Georgia wins. The top 12 is getting very clogged up and last thing we need is the top 7-15 loaded with SEC going into the SEC championship.

An Ole Miss loss today takes them out of discussion regardless of whether they win their last games against Florida and Mississippi St

Especially if we're ranked behind them going into CCG weekend, a loss in the CCG does us no favors. I know the committee said they won't punish teams for CCG losses, but thats an unproven claim. If we lost bad for some reason, 10-3 with a bad "recent eye test" may be enough to be left out for Bama or Ole Miss.

And with previously undefeated teams in the ACC and Big12 losing games, there could be bid stealers in those conferences. I can't believe Im saying that in football, but if undefeated BYU got upset by 10-2 ISU or KSU in the CCG, two teams get in.

Im glad you are confident, but I'm not confident we'd get in if we lost the seccg and bama and ole miss are both sitting there at 10-2 with wins over Georgia, and bama also has an lsu win a d we gave 3 losses

Committees don't seem to give us the benefit of the doubt

I would just rather take that possibility away by having them both lose a 3rd game

And I don't trust the committee yet to hold to that sentiment. It's year 1 of this format, historically (in the 4 team playoff), teams were punished for losing the CCG, and I'm not convinced the committee really watches games. They're just gonna see 10-3 and see 3 losses.
