Team/staff still chit the bed vs USCe (imagine what we would have been) and lost Moss. Why they are teasing at 14 as will be on the outside looking in a need perfection to close out the season (we had better odds of making by beating USCe and losing to tu).

Explain how this matters please. Surely we are not getting in with another loss.

Surprise surprise!!! Five two loss SEC teams, one in, four out. Two with only one conf loss are out.

They did Army dirty. No way they're worse than some of those teams above them.

The committee is going to have a real problem if Army runs the table, beating ND and a good Tulane team along the way. Will they continue to say that Boise State has a better resum? And if the BDF craps the bed and sends a two-loss team to the playoffs as its champion, would we see two G5 champs seeded, with one a first-round bye?

My point is, win out or we're going to a meaningless bowl, rankings notwithstanding.

I think that was his point.

If Army beats Notre Dame, they will be ranked much higher in the polls. Saying that, none of the teams that Army has played has a winning record. This week they play North Texas, who has a winning record at least, but also a 45 point loss to Texas Tech.

I don't think there is any realistic scenario that the G5 get 2 teams in, nor a first-round bye. I suppose if the ACC or Big 12 champ has 2 losses, it is possible the G5 gets a bye, but I think it probably takes a 3 loss P4 champ to have the committee move a G5 team up into that 4th spot.

2. Tulane
3. Army
4. Navy

I just don't see any other G5 team in the conversation, and I imagine that Boise St is getting the preferred treatment in al Mtn West games.

The only thing I feel bad about is losing Moss for the year. He definitely is going to be needed for the texas game. BUT maybe our defense will wake up and play to their full potential that game and win us the game!

It seems reasonable for us to be ranked No. 14 in the first CFP rankings. We just need to win out to secure our first-ever SEC Championship appearance and hopefully our first-ever CFP appearance.
