He's calling perfect blitzes that get home time and time again against SC and the players can't break down and make a tackle against a QB. Sellers is athletic, but a tackle at the thighs brings anyone down. Is Elko supposed to run onto the field and put their arms on the qb for them? I guess you could say he hasn't taught them how to tackle well enough, but damn. I saw them making great form tackles earlier in the season. Defensive tackling is on the players imo. But it's Elko's job to get them to fix it I guess.

You are correct Sir ! Elko has never taught our players HOW TO TACKLE ! Didn't do it as our DC, and hasn't done it as our HC ! The way we're playing, we should be in a touch football league !

It is 100% Elko's job to make sure his players do basic things. Run. Throw. Catch. Block. Tackle. You know, things that are required to do in footbal in order to win games.
He's the head football coach. His job is to win games. You win games by having good players, good coaches, good schemes and executing. His job is to put all of those together. He gets paid extremely well to do that, and when the team does not do that, the head football coach is absolutely responsible because in one capacity or another, he has failed to perform his job.

Elko took 100% responsibility on both sides of that ball. We finally have an accountable coach. He is also Year 1. Grow the F UP some of you. Give Elko a few inches and have some perspective in your lives.
