What happened since 1939 that caused us this torment and suffering? Do we need to sacrifice an animal, go on a hunger strike, Blow up the program and start over….

It's like being in a relationship with a bipolar woman, every time things start going great it goes back to ***** Born into this and too invested to pull out now. This is my cross to bear

Maybe it's the Sully statue.

I mean, we need to put all options on the table, right?

Ive said it once and I'll say it every time. We are cursed. It's either the Slocum curse or that they moved the dogs so Aggies could boast about paying high prices to sit in an end zone.
Well…you sounded taller on radio.

Someone's grandma or aunt needs to rub an egg or our program.

Of course, a tsip w online name of Faustus would sarcastically like the Jesus imagery esp due to the online assoc of the internet name.

"Faustus is the protagonist who sells his soul to the Devil in exchange for knowledge"....

We are in Year 1 of a new coach. If anything, I am incredibly excited for the future with Elko and what he can accomplish. Most of us did not expect our season to go this well. I am incredibly excited for what may occur under Elko but to think that we're snakebit is ridiculous. New coach with a lot of turnover and we're still very competitive. Bodes well for a bright future.

While I agree that we are cursed I don't think this year is a great example. We just got our expectations a bit too high in the first year after a coaching change.

We have a fanbase that's always waiting for the other shoe to drop and can't handle adversity

Can't wait til we win out and are playing in Atlanta

i notice that we win national titles around world wars. we won one right after WWI we win one right before WWII. so the silver lining is we are all still alive due to the aggie curse.

if we win one again you need to make sure you have your house in order and get right with jesus.

The culture and traditions are stuck in 1939. The rest of the NCAA has moved into the 21st century. That's why.

RC Slocum, who is from Louisiana, put a Voodoo curse on this program when he was fired in 2002.

We never have the formula quite right.

1. Elite HC 3+ years into his tenure
2. Eiite QB
3. Depth on both lines
4. Senior leadership

The people in 1939 were mentally tougher than the snowflakes we are today so, if anything, this notion would point toward us being better, not worse.

Our program has only been fully resourced like others that compete for probably 15-20 years of our existence. Late 80s into the 90s and then the last 7-10.

Anyone that wonders why the teams of my years in school or shortly after didn't compete (2000-2004) are pretending we were something we weren't. We competed with Baylor, tech and okie lite for recruits in those years.

Now, I agree we've still fallen short of what we should be, even in those years, but folks act like we've poured resources in for 100+ years and not only hasn't that been the case, but we've had several other programs regional who did.

Being 7-2 (5-1) with three games left and a path to the playoff right in front of us in year one of a new coaching regime is cursed?

Come on guys. The loss sucked. But the overreaction is nuts.

Take it easy. That was a tough loss last weekend. But, with a brand new coach and no good option at QB, we've managed to stay relevant, win some big games, and even cracked the top ten. And there's plenty of success yet to be had. That should give us a continuing ability to recruit well. And, that will be the key to whether Elko is ultimately successful (not some supposed curse).

We're not any more cursed than Mississippi State, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Iowa State, NC State, Minnesota, Arizona, Wake Forest, Oklahoma State, Purdue, or UCLA.

Those are our equals.

Not even close. Those are our equals based on records maybe, but not every parameter that actually matters.

We should be having seasons like OU used to have. We should be able to pull off what LSU has over the years. Have some dignity.

Can't be the Slocum curse, he sucked it up as well, which is why he was fired.

Lack of winning culture.

Too many decision makers are too enamored with Aggie tradition instead of winning.

Exactly! What other college has grown men running around in white overalls like they're in a pride parade talking about farmers fight and beating the Longhorns is the only thing that matters.
