I am not surprised the New Orleans Saints fired Dennis Allen after a 7th consecutive loss to drop to 2-7. Losing 23-22 to the then 1-7 Carolina Panthers was the last straw. That defeat marked the first time the Saints had lost 7 consecutive games for first time since 1999.

Yeah, it was only a matter of time. The 2-7 record and a 7-game losing streak are tough stats to ignore, especially after a loss to a struggling Panthers team. It's disappointing to see the Saints hit this low point again, especially since it hasn't happened since '99. Hopefully, this change brings a fresh perspective and some new energy to the team!

Saints came out of the gate like a super bowl contender. Not sure what happened after 2-0. Kubiak Jr name even thrown out as a possible HC candidate after the first 2 blowouts. Short lived.

The Saints have something like ten guys on IR, and when Carr missed three games at QB due to injury, they learned that they have no backup. Carr came back Sunday, but his top top two receivers are both out.

Allen is one of those guys that seems to do very well in a coordinator role, but has never really found much success as a head coach. He would do well to accept that reality, but none of those guys ever really think that way. Can't blame them I suppose.
I'll take him or Aaron Glenn back anytime to run our defense.

It's not always all on the head coach. Something like 30 franchises suck most of the time. Really rare for a HC to get control over personnel in the nfl.
