That's my point. They should've known better. These weren't the only big guys we've faced all year.

He told his dad a couple weeks ago he didn't know if he liked football anymore. Who can blame him with the amount of money he's making. So no he probably shouldn't be starting.

They were tired and taking a well deserved rest from last week.

Poor discipline, bad angles, over compensation.

This wasn't all of the sudden. I think half the yards LSU put up on us were after first contact. Just watch the first half of last week's game. Our D still kept us in it with some critical stops last week, but, this week, they gave up too many critical plays or extended the series with penalties. Not saying that our O could've won the game with the D playing their best today, but we looked horrible on both sides of the ball.

All were looking ahead to next weeks opponent!!

no bs my 11 ur old daughter whol loves to watch the games with me actually asked me if you could put something slipper on your uniform as a question. it was just one of those nights.

The QB was 240 lbs and Sanders was 230, the biggest backs we've faced all year. We were absolutely not used to tacking these big guys. And we lost our answer in Leveon. Ballgame.

If you are being coached the fundamentals of tackling all year and it is a focus of your practices, the size of the players you are tackling is a nonissue. We obviously do not focus on this whatsoever. Instead of low man wins or proper leverage as it were, our players think they can just run up and hit someone usually too high and they will go down. This leads to a ridiculous amount of missed tackles and the far too often targeting calls.

The way their players slipped out of sure fire sacks was otherworldly. Never seen anything like it.

The only thing tired is the amount of excuses we as fans are willing to make for what are now paid semi professionals. And the same semi professionals lack of enough pride in what they do to work on their fundamentals, such as blocking and tackling.

Fquin is right. In Pop Warner we were taught look at the belt buckle so you don't get faked out and tackle their legs going low and driving through. They can't run if their feet aren't on the ground. It's an IQ thing……

Soft. We best LSU hitting hard, last night we were just weak and soft.

Overpursuit, our guys took bad angles all night and rather than squaring someone up to wrap them up and bring your whole body with it, you are trying to get your arms wrapped around from the side and hope your body weight/momentum is enough to drag him down as you go past them (it was not)

I've been thinking for a few weeks now... It looks like they are constantly trying to get their hands/arms in a position to try and strip the ball.

It has nothing to do with lack of strength.

It didn't help that our all world DEs ran upfield and out of every single play. No desire at all to collapse a pocket around the QB. He was only going to beat us by scrambling (which we made easy for him with lack of squeezing the pocket), or short dumps and screens (which we made easy by bringing way too much pressure).

Yeap, look at me football when it should have been a team effort to contain.

Our guys looked to be afraid of contact. I don't recall ever seeing so many girly attempts at tackling, being out of position, missing tackles, etc. all in one game. Don't understand how they can suddenly "forget" what they have been doing all year. Maybe it is as simple as them needing some more NIL money!

Defensive players are cautious of today's asinine rules which penalize you for fundamental tackling. You can't form tackle anymore, you have to dance around the issue because of BS targeting calls.

It's no wonder two of the hardest blows were initiated by the offense last night, the first when Moss lowered his pads and drove full speed into the defender, unfortunately when leverage on his leg was in a bad position. The second when their QB did the same and absolutely trucked our DB.

There are no fouls if you're carrying the ball and want to destroy the defender, and it's now easier to do when the defender is prancing around worried about being ejected if he brings the wood.

Their QB was no different than that big QB from Arkansas, KJ Jefferson who beat us three years ago. Things change when your DL and LB can plant a facemask into their sternum instead of tackling like wrestling your dog to the ground so as not to hurt him.

I thought the same thing at first, and then I had to accept that our players were either trying to hard for a highlight-reel thrown down, or worse, they were just bad at doing their jobs.
