Not in a Klein offense.
The kid can't be run repeatedly into SEC defenses. He doesn't have the body.
He has to develop into a great passer. It may happen, but not in the next year or so.

Get a QB in the portal. Look at Oregon right now.
The book is out on Reed and Weigman is leaving.
Lol. Reed is a freshman with a first year OC. Y'all need to chill. Reed will only get better.
Elko made the best WR Coach hire possible in Higgins. But when's he gonna act like it?war hymn aggie said:
Elko keeps whiffing on WR recruits and our current group of WR's seem to have an issue with getting separation from our opponents DB's so I'd say we need to pony up and find a couple of capable WR's in the portal for '25.
We also need our OC to adjust and call a better game that features TE's over the middle and more slants by our WR's. One of my favorite plays that works almost all the time is the RPO option in which the QB reads the DE's and the safeties. He pulls the ball outta the RB's belly and throws to quick pass to a receiver running a quick slant or seam route to our TE over the middle.
It's a perfect play to keep the D honest with Reed @ QB and I don't recall Klein using it all all this season.
My point: Adjust the play calling to offset the scheme that our opponents D is trying to take away from us.
Example: They play 8 in the box: play action and throw deep over the middle since the safeties will be playing the run. Corners will be playing not to get beat on the outside. Deep middle will be open if our receivers run good routes.

#1 priority of the off season? Probably Aerosmith tickets.
Yeah; all our players suck. It's amazing that we have won any games. We should slap our name on another team and pull for them. (In case you couldn't tell, I was being sarcastic.)Ag_EE_88 said:
We need speed at WR. Some true corners and more speed in the secondary. Some real LBs. OL
We basically need help at every position.
We are so much less athletic at every position. I have no idea how we are getting the recruiting grades that we are. We have basically ZERO gamebreakers on offense or defense.
Maybe we need a new dog too?Ag_EE_88 said:

Not sure where your stats came from but I don't think they're correct. This year Reed has 861yds for 7 TDs and 1 INT.
With passing stats like that he better be Lamar Jackson or Johnny Football on the ground for us to call him good or promising, but he's not

I want them to finally get their priorities straightened out, quit hanging out with that bunch of hoodlums, and sign their commitment to their team.
I think the coaching staff has figured out there are key players injured. Depth is the difference at this point in the season.TMartin said:
They knew they needed a better receiving corps but we were told the TEs would become the passing weapons.
If Smith could return to his freshman rushing statistics that may be enough,
There are many good teams playing with key players injured at this point in the season. Good coaching staffs figure it out.
