Joel Klatt was at CU during the B12 days, and rumor has it that in both 04 and 05, the weekends that they played us, his girlfriend at each time (2 different ones) ditched him to go to parties with some of our players. Poor Klatt, his long-term relationships were the only thing Fran's squads were wrecking back then.

But I can't really blame Klatt. Shannon Sharpe actually scooped a prime HOPA from me once, some time ago. I don't really begrudge him for that. But, then again, in my case, it was also Shannon Sharpe we're talking about, the multi-millionaire celebrity, not an anonymous hoarde of poorly-coached college athletes.

Not living up to the hype had nothing to do with beating the crap out of LSU. And Joel couldn't say anything good.

Corby needs something in his life and OU is holding up their end of the bargain.

I haven't heard any details about what his girlfriend did at those parties. That line of discussion kind of quickly goes, erm, south.

It wouldn't surprise me if it gave him extra motivation to develop. But if it happens twice, with the same team (us), it would, even less surprisingly, account for his lifelong hatred of us.

Klatt hates ATM. The week before during his spot they spent the entire time talking about the incident at the TU game and rightfully so. At the end of that he had to tell Bob they didn't have time to talk about ATM/LSU but that if they had talked about it, he was going to take LSU.
Went out of his way to pick against them.

Even if you don't want to give any credit to Aggie offense (which is asinine), not giving credit for second half defense is beyond dumb.

And Corby is beyond sore because he is now seeing what many of us have said for a long time and that is OU is a good team but not close to elite and playing in SEC would prove that…though, even I didn't think it would be as glaring as it is.

Oh, and South Carolina is solid. This game will be tougher than LSU game I think.

Look the time to wonder about Reed isn't after Reed rips LSU apart. Klatt wouldn't do this about a Texas QB.

I used to fight with Corby by email between segments. Like who goes on a break during your on air radio show to look at emails and fight with Texas A&M fans? Lol but I'd did this for years during football season. I enjoyed wasting Corbys time.

I saw some YouTube of Klatt and he was actually complimentary of A&M. I was shocked.

I haven't listened to the Ticket in 10+ years and was an early daily listener starting back in 1994 when they launched. Corey went to TCU but was such a Boomer homer it was embarrassing. I forgot about him but this post makes me happy knowing reality in the SEC is slapping him across the face.

I'm a long time Ticket P1, and listening to the Klatt segment for a few years now, he is very complimentary of the A&M fan base, he has said for years, we deserve better than the product that the administration and the coaches (at the time) had put on the field. He always ended up being vindicated in his criticisms of A&M when we fell short of our expectations but met his.

Until we actually win the conference, make the playoffs, win a playoff game, etc. the guy is simply going off of our proven track record of mediocrity. BAS is a real thing for a reason, and like many of y'all, I have tremendous hope for the rest of the season, but what do you want him to praise at this point? We haven't actually won anything, and the Notre Dame game was another example of hyped up expectations that failed to produce. We are all super excited about the prospect of what the remaining 4 games hold, but true, elite tier programs, expect to be in this position in the first weekend of November. I hope that we have finally taken the steps forward to get into that tier, but at this point, everything Klatt has said is totally fair.

In the last 25 years, we are 184 and 127 with 0 conference championships. Compare that to Texas Tech at 177 and 136 with 0 conference championships. That's a 7 game difference in wins, over 25 years, that's basically identical records. Neither team has a 60% winning record. Until we have success on the field to prove him wrong, its tough to have much of an argument. You may not agree with him, but based on the last 25 years, he is not wrong.

I'm not talking about 25/years. The fact Klatt and Corby have nothing much to say after LSU was what I'm talking about.
