I think that he (as a whole in his sports takes) is pretty balanced, and usually has a well thought out take. He speaks really well about the Ags (normally) and balanced when he picks against us. At this point, I don't hold this pick against him.

I think the point spread is like 2.5 which is essentially a coin flip. Given that I expect many to pick SCAR.

It's been the popular thing to do based on previous coaching staffs and teams. Of course that hasn't worked out well this year.

He knows us very well. We've burned him so many times in the past that he's just going to pick us to lose until we do, because he knows what happens when he picks us to win.

If that is against the spread that is a very good percentage. If just straight up who wins then yeah that sucks.

Josh pate understands our culture more than any outside analyst I've seen.

He understands it so much that even he has BAS.

That being said, he's playing 4d chess. Picking against us is his sacrificial method to help us pull out a win when the numbers say it's close.

I don't get this feeling from him...at all. He usually speaks very highly of our program and seems to understand it more than most. Also seems to be a good friend of Looch's. He is from Georgia and is a self-admitted fan of Iowa State. I think he's one of the most fair and balanced and down-to-Earth "talking heads" that there is. He's also a low-key genius. (Pate, if you're listening, I could find a loving home for a chalice of supremacy, if I should ever find one...)

Pate is one of the few CFB content guys that I can actually listen to. He has given A&M a lot more exposure than we've deserved the last couple of years. That being said, I'd rather everyone pick against A&M.

Lose, don't lose... Noodles, don't noodles... Josh is too concerned about what was and what will be.

Everyone is gaga about SC because they came close against Alabama and stormed Kentucky when everyone thought Kentucky was pretty decent.

Counterpoints:
UK appears to actually stink this year.
Alabama game was impressive, and oddly, also on the road, but Alabama is definitely not the dominant team they were.
They also barely beat Old Dominion and LSU, who we beat pretty handily in the end.
Loss BADLY at home to Ole Miss.

Probably the most quirky think about this quirky team is that all of their home games, with the only exception being against Akron, were not great performances. Their head turning performances have been on the road.

If that pattern holds, we win this one easily.
