It's been the popular thing to do based on previous coaching staffs and teams. Of course that hasn't worked out well this year.rootube said:
I think the point spread is like 2.5 which is essentially a coin flip. Given that I expect many to pick SCAR.
So you're saying he's doing this for a job? In the words of Navin R Johnson....."So it's a profit thing!? This changes everything."greg.w.h said:
Pate only cares about building controversy and then pandering in case that doesn't work…

So we're not allowed to like Herbie anymore, does that mean we can't like Pate now?

Doesn't matter. His all time record for picks is 52.9%.

Josh pate understands our culture more than any outside analyst I've seen.
He understands it so much that even he has BAS.
That being said, he's playing 4d chess. Picking against us is his sacrificial method to help us pull out a win when the numbers say it's close.
I, for one, thank him, and look forward to watching his pick blow up again.
I don't get this feeling from him...at all. He usually speaks very highly of our program and seems to understand it more than most. Also seems to be a good friend of Looch's. He is from Georgia and is a self-admitted fan of Iowa State. I think he's one of the most fair and balanced and down-to-Earth "talking heads" that there is. He's also a low-key genius. (Pate, if you're listening, I could find a loving home for a chalice of supremacy, if I should ever find one...)Demo_Slug said:
He is a horn and corn homer.
Throw a dart at a dartboard, basically.CapCityAg95 said:
