Yeah they're intertwined. There's no BAS without hope. Using the same woman would have made that more pronounced. But at some point you have to imagine they want the option to have Hope and BAS together so using two different actresses will simplify that.
There's an interview somewhere that talks a little bit about how they do it. But agree there's bound to be quite a bit of planning during the week. I'd imagine they also have a backlog of general sketches that can work for lots of scenarios like the courtroom or lie detector. Then they can fill in the weekly details. No matter what it's impressive to do it every week with the amount customization it has.

The writing and acting for these fan-made productions, especially considering how quickly they release them and how well they know each of the schools in the conference, is pretty impressive.
