Play hard within the rules

Nussmeier flopped on a pick six return against South Carolina too that cost Carolina the game. He was blocked but not hard and totally flopped on the return.

Sometimes you need a player to get physical to get the team fired up. In soccer sometimes a player will take out another player intentionally and get a yellow. They call it the free warning.

Just to set the tone of the game and put the other team on notice that they are coming for you and if you play dirty our team has no issue doing the same.

It can backfire sometimes.

It didn't this time.

Would rather have the defense out there looking for blood than a defense sitting on their hands.

The defense started attacking brutally after that.

It worked.

Love his aggressive play! Has to learn discipline...
Unforced Errors (stupid penalties) are going to cost this team a game.

What's done is done. Other coaches are going to take note and Turner will be baited and taunted going forward particularly in the tu game.

An unsportsmanlike penalty at the right time can rally a team. I say Andre Ware a few heads every now and again.

Late hit after a 3rd and 10 stop is definitely not "the right time". He was saved by a crap Defensive PI.

Turner is probably my favorite player, but that was just soft minded. He should have waited and driven that ***** in to the dirt on the next play.

This got marked off after the PI because it was a dead ball foul.

Kind of amazing to me how many posters think you can headbutt an opponent (qb no less) well after a play is over and it not be a penalty....

he's been ejected before for throwing punch. the dude is obviously a little unhinged. Was an obvious penalty and if any other's school player did it we'd be calling them out fpor being trashy.

yeah the qb flopped. but it was a blatant headbutt. how can some of you try to justify it?

I think the point was the PI already gave them the first down on 3rd down. If not for that his personal foul would have prevented the 3 and out.

A little stat breakdown I went back and put together.

Before Shemar deck Nussy, the QB was 15 of 30 for 274 yards, 2 TD and 1 INT.

Over the next 8 minutes of play, he was 1-for-6 with an interception and LSU totaled 8 yards of offense and got outscored 14-0 to go from being up 17-14 to down 28-17.

Sometimes, the PF is worth it because it gives the guy one more thing to think about.

Turners my favorite player; I'll forgive it.

In fact, I'm actually happy he was starting **** before the game even started. Nothing wrong with some bad blood. Hope he brings that to the Texas game.

Y'all do realize he was also 3-7 w/ an interception before that penalty right? 3-11 going back to the end of the first half.

If not for the penalty, they would have started the 2nd half with 3 drives, 2 ending in punts and 1 with an INT, and only getting 1 first down. It's not like he came out of halftime and was lighting it up, but we put him in his place with a late hit and he shriveled up.

It was dumb. Period.

Yea… we were already rolling. Was I the only one that felt the BAS creep in there?

The point is that it was 4th down, so if there was no pi, than this would have given them a free set of downs.

Exactly. The defense was already fired up.
