Always heard Jeff George was a bit of an introvert and wasn't a leader or good team player. Had all the arm talent you could ask for in a QB but a poor leader which might work OK for other positions but not great for a QB.

Don't really know if Ewers is similar but I could believe it based on his demeanor on TV

Ewers was terrible and his stats lately reflect it. Benching him made sense to me. The only reason this is a big deal is because you have the most famous name in college sports sitting in the wings.

Sark is from the Saban school. Saban will bench anyone that isn't performing. He benched Jalen Hurts in their NC game after the dude had taken them to one previous year and was the starter. '

Ewers isn't similar in any way to George.

George could make throws no other QB in NFL history could make. He didn't have a great arm, he had THE great arm. Unfortunately he was not a nice person and was disliked by pretty much every teammate and coach he ever had. George's reactions to missed plays were horrible. He always blamed the teammate.

Ewers doesn't have anything close to the physical tools George had. Ewers seems to be well liked by his teammates and coaches. He just isn't all that good.


Only one other QB that really compares to George and that is Cutler. Cutler had insane arm talent, but not on George's level. Both were bad teammates. I always hated Eli Manning's body language as well.

Yeah - it was really odd to me initially that 247 claimed they were hacked, which means somebody hacked them....and chose to use that as an opportunity to put together a fake graphic, with fake info in their normal format.

Would be a very odd thing to do, IMO.

Wouldn't be shocked at all if they were getting info and had some things written and ready to go and somebody accidentally hit publish.
