I noticed this in the MSU game and it's a problem and should be looked at in practice this week. It easily led to his second interception (deep in our own territory).

He doesn't look off his receivers. He squares his shoulders and he's staring them down the whole way. MSU either knew this from film/scouting before the game or brought it up at halftime, because they were jumping a lot of routes.

Below is a good example. Turned out great for us that time but on an underneath route this will lead to the backs/safeties/ends getting a jump on passes.

In football terms, what you are saying is "he stares down his receivers."

Yes he does. It was even mentioned during the last game.

It was the same route to Moss. Should have had two more picks. MSU definitely saw something on tape.

Thats why we need to run the ball 60 times against LSU, keep him in favorable positins and keep the Tigers off the field

"Telegraphing" is not uncommon parlance. Although I guess maybe that's used more commonly for signaling where you intend to run.

Conner's gonna be fine. He will be ready and he and Moss are gonna bring back memories from last year. BTW, need look at the glass half full…….doin better than Beck and Milroe.

Agree. Both him and Carson Beck are throwing way too many INTs, and need to get that cleaned up before they meet in the SEC title game.

Yes this OP is hilarious as the play he shows is his first and only option! Maybe he looks down his receivers but that's a poor example!

I disagree. Connor needs some polishing, Beck needs to continue playing like this through the SEC Title Game.

Are you suggesting we sent one receiver downfield?

Without going back to the game film I suspect we had at least 2-3 other options.

Just went back and looked…yup, 3 other receivers on the other side.

Even if it's your primary read you don't look at him from the moment you snap the ball. This was a fade in what looked like Cover 1/0. Corners are man and there's no safety help.

Probably a poor example since the risk is with zone coverage.

Either way…fix it or LSU will be running downhill at anything in the flats or underneath.

ETA: this is the better example. Middle linebacker watching Connor's eyes the whole time at 8:03 mark.

You neglected to mention the WR not working back to the ball, didn't help his QB.

But continue your awesome analysis.
