If I'm Elko though, I don't still don't say Reed is the starter. Make South Carolina have to game plan for two different offenses in the same week.

I actually think we have two good QBs and agree that we shouldn't let SC know who will be starting.

But I'm thrilled we have coaches that have the cojones to make the call for a change when needed - whether it was starting a rested and ready Weigman against Mizzou (after Marcel had won three games in a row) to surprise them and win that game conviningly or making the change this evening from a clearly ineffective Conner versus LSU to bring in a completely different type of QB in Reed - CLEARLY catching LSU's defense off guard - and again winning tonight's game going away.

BTHO South Carolina!!!

Unless Elko is completely going to abandon Conner, which he isn't, Conner needs the next three games to get past whatever he has going on in his head. If he's losing at halftime, the switch will be made again.

I'm not sure he doesn't still have some shoulder injury. When's the last time he made any deep passes?

...and trot Marcel Reed out as "the starter" to take the first series when our offense takes the field for the first time against LSU?

In other words, do to those Tigers what we did to the last Tigers we hosted at Kyle Field - when Missouri, who were clearly sure Reed was our QB for that game, were surprised with a completely different style of QB in Weigman.

Bringing Reed and his speed and running capability might put LSU off balance for that initial series, which could feature a heavy dose of planned alternating fast paced QB and RB RUNS with some selected downfield passing by Marcel as we score on our first offensive series.

THEN come back with Conner and his style of offense for our second series on offense - with some more series or selected well-practiced plays (including some two-point conversions) featuring Marcel later in the game, with the total dose of Reed versus Weigman determined by how LSU reacts to both the QB1 and QB2 led offenses over the first half.
