Welcome to Lone Star Lookback! Each week, a former player or coach will join David Nuño to reminisce on Texas A&M's historic rivalry with the Texas Longhorns as the game makes an emphatic return on Nov. 30 at Kyle Field.

On Episode 8 of the Lone Star Lookback series, a Texas A&M signal-caller from the 1960s joined us as Edd Hargett looked back on his three-year career in Aggieland under head coach Gene Stallings. Prior to helping the Maroon & White beat Bear Bryant’s Alabama Crimson Tide, Hargett also helped engineer a come-from-behind victory over the Texas Longhorns in 1967. A two-time first-team All-Southwest Conference selection, the Linden product was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 16th round of the 1969 NFL Draft and spent a handful of years in the NFL.
