Good news: A&M will be on Stewart-Haas cars racing in NASCAR for the last two races of the season.


Bad news: Stewart-Haas racing sucks and have announced they will be out of business at the end of the season, so WGAF.

AND

The last two races are all about the championship cars so TV doesn't even GAF.

It's an interesting move. I've done nascar sponsorship work before, and A&M likely got a steep discount because of the playoffs note that you mention.

NASCAR audience is enormous and fiercely loyal, including the TV audience. Step by step, A&M is making progress towards sustained national relevance, both from a visibility and meaning standpoint.

It is nice to see TAMU go beyond football, basketball, and "we're not weird" ads to market the university.

New marketing leader making all the right moves so far.

I haven't watched even 5 mins of a race in 10+ years. Seems like a dead sport. No one even talks about it anymore

I agree that NASCAR died w/ Dale.

However, the nail in the coffin was banning the Confederate flag...
